On May 13 the Intrepid Fox team was in Riga for Baltic Fintech Days 2026. We were there as an official partner of the event, with a stand on the floor of Hanzas Perons across both conference days.
Baltic Fintech Days is the largest fintech event in the Baltics attended by 1,000 professionals from more than 50 countries.
The first public outing for AI-powered Periodic Review
BFD 2026 was the first event where we presented our new Periodic Review module. Periodic review is one of those parts of KYB that everyone has to do and almost no one enjoys doing. Files come up for refresh on a fixed cycle. Analysts pull registry data, re-screen the entity and its UBOs, re-check the website, look at transaction patterns, ask the customer fresh questions, and write a fresh risk assessment. For a mid-sized fintech this is hundreds of cases a year. For a regulated bank it can be tens of thousands.
What we built does the heavy lifting end to end. The module refreshes the corporate and ownership structure, runs registry checks, performs screening and adverse media against the latest data, analyses the customer's current website against the original onboarding submission, ingests transaction data, sends the customer a white-label questionnaire and document request, and produces a draft risk assessment statement that the analyst then reviews and signs off.
The point is not to remove the human from the loop. The final call still sits with the compliance team. The point is to remove the manual gathering and drafting work that turns a periodic review from a 30-minute analytical decision into a multi-day chase.
